Description: OK, so Beauregard’s is not your typical Thai restaurant name, but it makes sense because this is not your typical Thai restaurant. Dining here feels like you’ve entered another world. Perhaps it’s the circa-1870 building with the courtyard in the back, possibly the most beautiful outdoor dining spot in Richmond—large and bricked, with gas lamps, lush landscaping, and a fountain. The inside dining rooms are just as refined, as is the food. The Squid in Love or the other traditional Thai dishes are so beautifully presented, it’s almost a shame to eat them. Leave room for the famous homemade desserts, including black-walnut and coconut ice cream and mango sorbet. The Thai Room is open for lunch and dinner Mon through Fri, and dinner only on Sat. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.
