Description: This comprehensive museum features exhibits that educate children and adults about the seen and unseen, from the microscopic to the edges of the universe, illuminating scientific concepts in an interactive way. If you have an interest in trains, be sure to peek into the RF&P Railroad Founders Room to see the photographs of the building back when it was Broad Street Station. If you are interested in traveling farther afield, check out the daily (including some in the evening) offerings in the IMAX Dome. Destination: Universe is a 20-minute planetarium show held at 1 p.m. daily that costs just $3 for nonmembers. The IMAX Dome and planetarium shows are a great way to travel to Everest, the Grand Canyon, or into space without leaving the comforts of Richmond. These films change every few months, so check the Web site for updates.
