Description: The food gets raves from regulars but what brings people here is the live music and convivial atmosphere. Acoustic, blues, jazz—the place swings until 2 a.m. seven days a week. Owner Randall Plaxa will tell you without much prompting that the stage here has hosted 69 Grammy winners. There are daily specials, including tapas (small plates). The bar offers 75 varieties of wine (Thursdays they offer half-price bottled wine with dinner), and 80 different kinds of beer, including 13 drafts. There’s a cover charge when live music is offered, usually ranging from $3 to $15 (for big-name acts). Sunday brunch features NFL football on five screens, and the same screens get another workout for Monday Night Football. Also featured are interactive trivia, video games, open mic events, and Texas Hold ’em tournaments. Believe it or not, there is a kids’ menu! And breakfast! The only hours this place is closed are between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m, when the kitchen switches gears to serve the early morning crowd.
