38. Harbour Coffee

Description: Tucked at the far back corner of the New Town development is this fine coffee shop. It has all the basics—tables and floppy chairs for relaxing, free Wi-Fi to get some work done (or goofing off), the normal selection of hyper-caffeinated specialty drinks.A couple notable twists: Harbour is dedicated to sustainability and green living. It strives to select and roast coffees grown in a sustainable and eco-friendly fashion (leaving the shade trees in place to provide habitat for birds, for example), often stretching beyond the standards of Fair Trade organizations. On the menu: selections of muffins, oatmeal, bagels, and quiche for breakfast; salads, wraps, quesadillas, and paninis for lunch and dinner. Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon to Thurs, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fri and Sat. Closed Sun.
