Description: The Edgewater is a Seattle classic on the waterfront, with the shimmering city behind it and Elliott Bay at its doors. Edgewater achieves a Pacific Northwest lodge feel, with knotty-pine furniture and river-rock fireplaces, that is still modern and edgy. The hotel made Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List in 2008 and has been recognized worldwide for its eco-friendly practices, which go far beyond those of many hotels. Half of the 223 rooms overlook Elliott Bay, while the others offer dramatic city views. All feature custom knotty-pine furniture, custom bedding with down blankets and pillows, refrigerator, and sitting area with overstuffed chairs, ottoman, and rustic gas fireplace. A selection of king, queen, and double rooms are available, as well as four suites including the incredible Penthouse Suite, and the Beatles Suite—yes, the band stayed here while touring the United States in 1964. The bathrooms are all European luxury, with amber quartz slate flooring, claw-foot slipper tubs, and garnet walls. The excellent Six Seven restaurant is located here, featuring inspired Pacific Northwest cuisine crafted with local ingredients and regional seafood with a backdrop of breathtaking views. There is a very nice boutique on-site, as well as a fitness center, concierge services, business center, and valet parking ($33/night). Edgewater provides complimentary shuttle service within 2 miles of the hotel between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Conference and event spaces are also available. Wi-Fi access is available for $9.95/day (waived for members of the AvantEdge Program, and available at no cost in the business center). The Edgewater is pet-friendly, with no deposit or fees required.
