Wah Kee Wonton Noodle Restaurant - Restaurants - Madison, Wisconsin

Address: 600 Williamson St.

Description: Perhaps the name gives away the specialty. The noodles were once made by hand on-site but now, though still made fresh and in Madison, are made with a special machine and off-site. There is a predictably large menu of the expected Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour chicken and even a few Thai and Vietnamese items or Korean kimchee, but the draw here is still the noodle menu. The angel-hair egg noodles come in two ways: tong mein (noodles in broth) and lo mein (broth on the side) have varied accompanying ingredients including vegetable or meat, plus hot and sour soup. Rice noodles and soba noodles are also available as are rice dishes. Daily specials are easy on the wallet. Beer and wine are served. Open daily for lunch and dinner with two-hour service gaps between the meals on weekdays. Carry-out and delivery are also available. Wheelchair accessible.
