Description: Mt. Olympus is rather hard to miss with its colossal recreations of a coliseum and other classical ruins. Formerly known as Familyland, this is not quite as big as Noah’s Ark but nevertheless offers a magnificent 156-acre collection of rides, slides, and activities. The indoor and outdoor water parks offer nearly 40 water slides, four children’s water play areas, two endless rivers, surfing with nine-foot waves, and much more. On-land activities include go-carts, bumper cars, five roller coasters, and various other rides. Several of these theme park attractions are indoors as well. Zeus’ Playground and Neptune’s Water Kingdom are the outdoor parks, while The Parthenon and Medusa’s Water Park take things indoors. Golf is nearby and there’s even a shuttle to the Ho-Chunk Casino south of town. Eight food outlets have Greek-themed names and offer generally snack and lunch-oriented menus from gyros and burgers to pizza and funnel cakes. Fine dining is best done around town. Two on-site hotels offer lodging: Hotel Rome and the Pompeii Motel.
