Description: Wilderness claims to be America’s Largest Waterpark Resort with the largest indoor wave pool. The transparent roof of the three-section facility lets the rays in for the tan seekers so the indoor status doesn’t necessarily mean “shaded.” Along with a collection of tube slides, lazy river, kids’ areas, and waterfalls, the park has the Dells’ tallest family raft ride and the Cannonbowl, with its giant funnel. The non-water activities include laser tag, games, minigolf, and a haunted hotel. The outdoor park is open during the summer and includes minigolf and go-carts. Golf is available on two courses and a day spa is also on-site. Five zip-lines as high as 55 feet in the air offer a two-hour adrenaline experience. Lodging options range from standard hotel rooms and suites to five-bedroom cabins. The resort is set among trees on 600 acres, so it arguably has the better view of the big resorts. Three restaurants are on the property including Fields at the Wilderness, the fine dining option.
