Toxic Items Properly Labeled/Stored/Used "To prevent contamination issues from occurring, store chemicals and personal medication separate and/or below food contact items. (299.168(l)) Observed employee's personal Ibuprofen stored in a draw along with food scoop and disposable food storage containers. Also, observed chemical sanitizing buckets stored along cooking pans and disposable food containers in both the food prep area and on the shelving below the server line. "
Thermometers Provided/Accurate/Properly Calibrated (2C) Be sure to provide employees with a probing thermometer with a narrow tip that is able to measure the temperature of thin foods (ex: burger patties) to ensure that they are at adequate internal temperatures.
