Store ice scoop in ice with handle protruding or store on a smooth, non-absorbant and easily cleanable surface that is cleaned daily. Provide plixi-glass collar for beverage lines in ice bin to provide separation between lines that are uncleanable and ice. Clean interior of ice machine per manufacturer recommendations. At a minimum remove all ice, clean all surfaces with a detergent solution, rinse with clean water, and sanitize all interior surfaces with a sanitizer solution. Be sure to also clean ice bin lid where hands commonly come in contact and drip lines on a regular basis. Clean cutting surface on can opener on a regular basis thoroughly.
