I just spent another hour on the phone trying to get service for my wifi. 10 days ago I spent almost 2 hours trying to get service.
The run around first is just to find a number to call for service is mind-numbing. They hide it so you won't call. I have to end-up calling pretending I'm calling to add service because that number is readily available and get transferred for real service to get to anyone. And then I waited 17 minutes on hold with the most god awful, horribly loud musaic playing. After all that they again can't send anyone to deal with the wifi until they fix something on the pole. And, they failed to come last week or call and say they could not come because they want to check out the line. They don't know how long that will be and will not commit to a time frame. Are you kidding me???? They will call me when they can come to my house. Are you kidding me? That will never happen. There has never been one call of follow-through. They will never call and they will never fix it. How do I (we) get the service we are paying for? How can I get someone with authority that gave AT&T the license to service my area to hold AT&T accountable? They are no repercussions. We no longer have municipalities holding these service providers accountable for service and the providers of service have their systems and offering so convoluted and confused that they don't know how to help anyone or can't find qualified people to do the work. I hate AT&T. Service is terrible. I would never recommend them. Soon we will all go direct for service for cable at least. I can do with out their phone. I just need the internet to work and someone else has to come along and do it right. Please let the American entrepreneur spirit come alive and give AT&T and Comcast (for that matter too) a run for their monopoly money! Its a monopoly and we should not put up with this a day.
Would you recommend AT&T to others? No
