As a frequent traveler I find tend to find most Mexican restaurants to be very cookie (or galleta!)-cutter. However, at La Tolteca I was taken away with their muy authentic food and experience. It all starts when from the second you walk in the door to find your ears filled with the sounds of mariachi and the sight of a woman pressing freshly-made tortillas. The seats are cozy, the beer is cold, and the very suave Victor was quick to deliver my delicious pork belly tacos! I truly hope work takes me back towards this oasis in Wilkes-Barre very soon. Olè!!
