Alpacas of Montana raises over 80 alpacas just south of Bozeman, Montana. Alpacas are used as a fiber animal for all types of garments, including scarves, gloves, hats, jackets and socks. Their fiber is found to be stronger and warmer than wool, softer than cashmere and almost completely waterproof. It is truly a superior natural fiber, with 22 different natural colors.
Alpacas are naturally docile, standing about 36-40” high at the withers and ranging from 100 to 180 lbs. We welcome farm visits of all sizes for those wanting to learn more about this exciting industry. Please give us a call anytime to set up an appointment.
