BigCrappie.com is a full-time, year-round fishing guide service on Cedar Creek Lake. BigCrappie.com is family owned and operated by Chuck and Laurie Rollins. BigCrappie.com specializes in Crappie (pan fish), White Bass (sandbass) and Hybrid Striper.
BigCrappie.com started from one man who has been fishing for as far back as he can remember and his love for fishing, teaching others how to catch fish and watching the expressions of excitement when they hooked each fish.
Chuck worked a full time, 80-90 hour week career since college and decided in 2003 to put is dream into action. His wife, three children and extended family all supported his desire to begin a fishing guide service.
Chuck’s first year of guiding was focused on building a great customer base. This was a slow process. In the second year and every year there after the customer base and the fishing trips have at least doubled. In 2007 Chuck guided almost 300 trips!!!!! His goals and expectations continue to rise. This year he will be adding a new and larger boat and train someone to become his partner in hopes that his customer base will double again.
Chuck has guided many customers who have caught Lake Records, Jr. Angler records and State records.
Chuck receives business from every where in Texas and all over the United States. Many customers fly in for a couple of days or a week and stay at one of the many resorts located on Cedar Creek Lake with only one thing on their agenda, FISH!!!! Chuck has earned the respect of many anglers and other guides for continually producing fish even when the bite is tough.
Chuck has also learned to fish for all species because most folks want to catch whatever is biting the best and he wants his customers to have a great time and go home happy.
Chuck also offers seminar trips that teach how to be a more successful angler. He covers how to locate the fish, read a graph, and techniques to use to catch the fish you want. Seminar trips cover multiple techniques and styles of catching fish, rather than what is working that particular day or time of year. Seminar trips are for the fisherman who wants to learn how to do it for him/her self.
Having three kids of his own, he enjoys taking children fishing and teaching them how to out fish their parents!!
