The Wrens Nest is the only local source to purchase fine art by Oneonta native Meta Whittmire Barnes (deceased), an internationally renowned artist. The Chick-a-Dee room features original fine art by Oneonta resident Dee Crider. Dee has also created a line of greeting cards, each with an original painting, perfect for composing you own sentiment to send for a special occasion or to frame and display. Another unique feature at the Wrens Nest is The Blue Bird Room which offers an eclectic collection of antique and vintage items with 100 percent of the proceeds going to provide Christmas Shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse, an international charity founded by Franklin Graham. The Blue Bird Room at the Wrens Nest is the work of Kathryn Montgomery and Melinda Gardus.
