My name is Joshua Marquis and although new to Residential and Commercial Real Estate I am not new to business. I currently own 2 companies. I was in sales prior to starting / buying these two companies for the world's largest vacation ownership company, Wyndham. While there I was awarded in 2007 with their "Rookie of the Year" award and in 2008 I earned the title "Sales Executive of the Year." I am married to a lovely 27 year old who is currently my partner in every way. She has 5 years of Escrow experience and is an integral part of all my business ventures. I have 2 beautiful children and a very large Saint Bernard named Brandy.
I am a young business man and have found that customer service and professionalism are lacking in many industries. I believe that with my enthusiasm and professionalism (don't mind the flip-flops) I can do my part to restore these values in our community. As a business man with quite a bit on my plate I have become very good at setting up systems that allow me to serve my clients to the highest standards. I believe that no single person can effectively serve all the needs of their client without having a support system behind him or her. I have these things in place. My wife / partner has 5 years of real estate transaction / escrow experience which ensures every transaction goes smoothly. I also have, through my web and graphic design company SitesHigh.com, five team members that ensure my clients get the best marketing for their properties to ensure a quick and profitable sale.
In July 2008 I successfully negotiated and facilitated the purchase of a Green Waste Recycling and Hauling company. The company, valued at $1.2 Million, was negotiated down to an $800,000 purchase price and I was able to do this without my client having to spend a penny up front. Since that time I have become hooked on flexible and creative financing as well as commercial real estate and business deals. I have become a quick study in understanding financial reports, evaluating cash flow, ROI, and finding any of those hidden things that should be discovered before a purchase is completed (Due Diligence is key).
