- Welcome to your healing relationship with me (smile). Healing is a personal decision based upon self love, dicipline, responsibility, forgiveness and inner peace. Very often, the doorway to healing is through our wounds. We learn to allow ourselves to feel and understand, sometimes for the first time, events and relationships in our lives that caused us physical pain, emotional trauma, immune deficiencies and a host of other ailments. We then find that it is by our perceptions that concentrated, stagnated or even blocked energy remained stuck in our nervous systems clogging the electromagnetic pathways in our bodies called "meridians". This disruption of the natural integrative flow of "chi" or life force in the body may cause any disease known to man. Shiatsu promotes a unifying, balancing and clearing of these passageways to promote an integration of energies within the body that support good health. Shiatsu provides a memory for the body of a time when it was surrounded by gentle water pressure within the womb when the body and nervous system felt "safe". Every bone, muscle, organ, tendon, cell and DNA in the body is effected by how we think, feel and act, as well as what we eat and drink, quality of sleep and amount of exercise. Balance in all areas of our lives promotes balance in all areas of our bodies. Good Health is a result of personal responsibility, and paying attention to what our body, mind and Spirit needs to stay in a place of balance and deep inner Peace despite the chaos around us. Shiatsu sessions are given fully clothed and run about an hour on a massage table or floor futon mat between $30. to $60 on a sliding scale. I specialize in Women who have low self esteem or have been abused and are seeking to empower and transform themselves by using their life experience as learning tools for personal and spiritual growth.
