- Need to get away? Scooter’s is located in the mountains just outside of Historic Gettysburg PA. on Route 30 West. It is about an hour and a half to forty five minutes driving time from the DC area. The tavern has been in existence since 1943 and has seen a few other names and owners. Scooter's name is brand new and is under new management. Scooter’s offers a daily happy hour, other daily beverage specials, weekend karaoke/disc jockey, and basic bar fare in which the menu is still under construction. Nascar and other popular sporting events are hosted Sundays with drink specials and fresh made wingsnow becoming a popular fare.
