The Gestalt Institute of Atlanta was founded in 1986 and is devoted to the principles and philosophy of Gestalt Therapy. We are interested in furthering professional involvement with all of the many aspects of Gestalt Therapy.
We are dedicated to providing information, training and intensive educational programs for those interested in studying this healing therapy. By teaching theoretical and practical applications, Gestalt principles and practices are easily assimilated.
Our Gestalt programs are based on the belief that a person learns Gestalt by being a part of the experiential work process. In addition to systematic instruction, dynamic Group Interaction and experiencing here and now therapy, students explore their own personal issues during Personal Growth workshops. Here they directly experience Gestalt, and release personal issues so they can more effectively interact with others. We believe we are most capable when we have resolved some of our own personal issues and have had direct exposure to helping others struggling with dilemmas and eliminating conflicts.
The Gestalt Institute Training Programs are designed to assist the student in developing the necessary skills and knowledge to work as a Gestalt Therapist with all of its aspect. The faculty's commitment, investment of knowledge, experience and creativity will be used to guide each student by his/her own goals for personal growth and to experience the excitement of working with a creative faculty.
