• The Yellow Flower Shop ("Petals by the Beach") next to Mr. Frosty's yes, its been there forever but now with a fresh new look with a mother daughter team from Pacific Beach. Melissa Cummings the Co-owner and Lead Designer formerly of Adelaide's in La Jolla is fresh and brilliant in her designs. With the change in ownership came growth for Melissa teaming up with her mother Flora Gillenberg, this Pacific Beach team has taken Pacific Beach flower making to a higher level with their beautiful designs and great customer service. This Flower Shop was important to the both of them knowing its place in Pacific Beach history and having personally know the original owners who brought it to life. Every customer that comes here seems to have a story about our little Flower Shop if its not about being Christi's Corner it's the great memories or the special occasions that were shared by ordering flowers. Flora talks about the uniqueness of Pacific Beach having lived here for almost all her life. Flora raised her family here and her and her children that all Graduated from Mission Bay High School. Its always alive with so much character and the people you meet, and you become apart of their lives by helping them through sorrow and celebrating their special days. "Were just selling happiness". It will be 1 year in June now that we have been open and could not thank the people in Pacific Beach and its neighbors for all the support they have given Petals by the Beach.
