Off the beaten path and right up your alley. This 3000 square feet of display space is one of the only Wildlife Gallerys in New England of its kind. It not only has the best quality and variety of North American Wildlife art to be found in this region, but when we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. As some of you may know, it isn't always easy to find a good cup of coffee in Maine, but here we were delighted to find the best espresso coffee around. As you walked around with your beverage, be sure to make it up to the second floor where you will be amazed at the lifesized bald eagle in flight as he swoops after the carved fish on the railing of the lower level. While my husband was very content trading stories with the owner, I was taken aback by the shear beauty and the high quality of all the artwork. The way the owners have arranged the work is a true artform all of it's own. I never knew that bronze and glass worked so well together, or that a pastel painting would complement a fiberglass sculpture with such grace. I found that I was able to truely enjoy alittle slice of heaven within this shop. We vacation in Maine every year and this Gallery will always be a stop for us on our way up to Bar Harbor and the Acadia region. A true must see of mid coast Maine.
