All cold holding units checked OK and recorded < 40 F.Lights shielded as needed.All food and beverages stored properly.Do clean up loose trash around perimeter of garbage rolloff at garbage enclosure located outside. Do provide a thermometer at ice reach in freezer. All ice bags labeled properly and observed frozen.Bathrooms observed clean and sanitary.Grocery store uses first in first out method of rotation on all food and beverage products.

At time of inspection; it was observed by health inpsector several platter of cut cheese and deli meats such as sausage cut. I spoke with manager Steve Adams that facility does not have a permit to serve this type of food. Ben's liquor has a grocery store permit and a bar permit. No food service or open food handling is permitted under current permits. Failure to comply will result in immediate suspension of health permit to operate bar. Cold holding checked OK at 34 F. No dairy products observed in cold holding. Discussed with operator to apply for a snackbar permit to serve food for wine tasting events. Do cease and desist cutting; slicing and serving any food at bar. Please call Health inspector with any further questions on properly permitting for open food. * All food will be taken home by manager for personal use.A reinspection will be conducted. This inspection will also be uannounced and occur this year in 2012.
