Elizabeth Spencer Wines

Elizabeth Spencer Wines offers cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, and syrah wines from their Napa Valley Vineyard in Rutherford, California. In 2005 they started offering chardonnay, Sonoma coast rose of syrah, and Mendocino sauvignon Blanc. They state their wines are made to drink by providing less weight, more purity, and persistence in their creations.

Their winemaking is monitored for the annual growth cycle to ensure they pick the grapes at the best time of year. When the grapes are young with ample fruit appearance the grapes will be picked and then made into the wine. The earliest wine available from Elizabeth Spencer Wines is the EXS Block Seven Sonoma Coast. It was bottled in 2004. The tasting room is open from 10am to 6pm Sunday through Saturday. They offer private tastings, evening tastings, private outdoor tastings, and wine and cheese tastings. Outdoor tables must be booked by reservation. The tastings are $40 per person and it takes roughly one hour for the visit and tasting to occur. A small tour of the vineyards and facility is possible. The building housing the wine tasting room is brick in the old Napa Valley style, with a lot of Spanish influence.
