Was reading about dysfunctional relationships again. Not that I particularly seek out the subject, but I do find it interesting to understand where relationships go right, and wrong. A pattern emerges, something I tend to gravitate toward, which to me indicates observer-bias (we seek what we find interesting, or some might say such stuff seeks us)....

How does the saying go: "being born on third base does not make you a star for hitting a triple!" I think I was born on second base: solidly middle class, inherent smarts, great health, tolerable if not spectacular looks, reasonably stable household. All the above is pure luck. I get that.

I haven't crossed home plate, as they say, but I'm at third base and worked hard for that extra base. And I don't like complainers and whiners, not tolerating it in either...
