Mission San Juan Capistrano

Posted 01-15-2016 at 11:24 AM by southorangecountylife

So I wanted to talk a little bit about our excursion to the Mission San Juan Capistrano. We took our parents who are down from Ottawa, Canada yesterday and they thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a great deal of history in Southern California that many of us have no idea about.

Mission San Juan Capistrano

The location is in San Juan Capistrano and if you’re looking for directions the easiest way would be to Google Mission San Juan Capistrano. The Mission San Juan Capistrano is a landmark and cultural icon as well as a destination for travelers. Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded as the 7th of 9 missions established by father Serra on November 1st, 1776.Things you will read and learn about are the first inhabitants of the mission, how and what they ate, religion and the general culture. Mission San Juan CapistranoGeneral admission pricing is as follows, adults $9 and that includes a free audio tour. Seniors 60 and over are $8 which also includes a free audio tour. Children for 2:11 or $6 includes a free audio tour and children 3 and under are free. You can also become a member which allows you to attend some of the special events and concerts during the year. That will set you back around $60.If you take your time going through all the buildings and reading most of the material it will take around 2 hours to go through the whole Mission. In regards to the history that is something that you need to go and see for yourself,Mission San Juan Capistrano. I don’t want to spoil anything and there is so much to read and see it would be impossible to write about everything and give it justice.. I can say one of my favorite parts of the whole tour was the old building structures. It was absolutely amazing how they were built. I would definitely recommend a day trip with family and friends, it is well worth it.
