    TSSP&S 265.199 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Specific Safety Features, pages 52 - 60; TDSPSPC 337.80,TDSPSPC 337.93,TDSPSPC 337.96 (Eff Jun 13, 1965) and FW Ordinance #12156-Sec 16.459-462 (Sep 12, 1995). Safety features and equipment shall be designed, constructed, installed and maintained to comply with all applicable provisions of City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Railing at steps is loose. Float lines with adequate floats or floor markings are not provided where required. The "No Diving" symbol is not large enough. Overhead or underwater lighting is not safely or properly maintained.
    Corrective action: Tighten railing on step. Float lines with adequate floats and floor markings shall include for Class A & B pools a rope and float line on the shallow side of the five foot depth across the entire width of the pool and a four inch visible marking at the transition point to five foot depth. The floats shall be spaced at not greater than 7 foot intervals and be secured. For Class C pools, the transition point to five foot depth shall be visually separated by a four inch visible marking. The "No Diving" symbol shal be at least 4 inches in height. Overhead or underwater lighting shall be maintained safely and according to standards.
  • Electrical Requirements
    TSSP&S 265.192 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Electrical Requirements, pages 43 - 45; TDSPSPC 337.93 (Eff Jun 13, 1965)and FW Ordinance #12156-Sec 16.459-462 (Sep 12, 1995). All electrical components shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of the City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Unable to test GFCI due to light in pool not working.
    Corrective action: Inspector must be able to test the GFCI to verify that it is working.

    Personnel in charge of maintaining a pool or spa is not properly trained regarding chemical hazard prevention. Employee to be taking the City of Fort Worth Pool Operator class on May 27, 2010.
    Corrective action: Personnel in charge of maintaining a pool or spa shall be properly trained according to standards relating to disinfectant equipment, chemical feeders and disinfectant chemicals and practices.
  • Fort Worth Ordinance
    Weekly inspection of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter not recorded. Weekly inspection of Pool yard enclosure and gates are not recorded. Operational records of emergency telephone test results are not maintained.
    Corrective action: Inspection of working Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter for pool/spa equipment shall be tested and recorded at least one time per week and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request. Condition of Pool yard enclosure and gates shall be inspected and recorded weekly and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request. Emergency Telephone operation shall be tested and recorded monthly and be made available to the Director or his/her representative upon request.

All electrical components shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of the City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    All electrical equipment is not protected with approved ground fault interrupter circuits.
    Corrective action: All electrical equipment such as duplex plugs and lighting and other electrical equipment shall be protected with approved ground fault interrupter circuits. Pool lights shall be on a GFCI before opening.
  • Suction Outlets and Return Inlets
    TSSP&S 265.190 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Suction Outlets and Return Inlets, pages 37 - 41; TDSPSPC 337.81 (Eff Jun 13, 1965). All suction outlets and return inlets shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of the City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Suction outlet covers, grates, anti-vortex suction outlets, etc. are not secured.
    Corrective action: All suction outlet covers, grates, anti-vortex suction outlets, etc. shall be secured so that they can only be removed by using tools. main drains shall be installed per manufacturer's requirements, need 4 screws, (only has 2 screws).

Disinfectant equipment and chemical feeders shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
    Disinfection agents and other chemicals are not properly stored.
    Corrective action: Disinfection agents or other chemicals and feed equipment shall be stored away from pool and spa users, off the floor in a dry, above ground level room and protected against flooding or wetting from floor, walls, and ceiling. Chlorine compounds shall not be stored in the same area as petroleum products. Vent to outside chlorine storage room.
  • CLOSURE NOTICE
    You are hereby notified that you must take immediate action to close your pool to the public until appropriate corrective actions are taken to safeguard the public from hazards detailed above in this report.
    Serious health violations were identified during today's health inspection. You must close your pool immediately to the public until appropriate corrective actions are completed.
    Corrective action: Before the facility named in this report can reopen for swimming pool/spa operations to the public, the owner/operator must take immediate corrective action to correct identified hazards and request a re-inspection by a Code Compliance Consumer Health Specialist. A fee of $125.00 will be required before any re-inspection may be conducted. Payment shall be made at 1800 University Dr. Room 219, Fort Worth, TX 76107 or by phone at 817-871-7255. Each re-inspection will require the fee be paid prior to the Consumer Health Specialists return. The closed pool/spa must meet minimum standards before it can be re-opened.
