Surface overflow devices in new pools shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of the City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
Surface skimmer or parts are missing, broken, damaged or not maintained. Six covers are broken. Five weirs are missing.
Corrective action: Damaged or missing skimmer systems or overflow devices or parts (weirs, covers, baskets, etc.) shall be repaired or replaced.
- Suction Outlets and Return Inlets
TSSP&S 265.190 (Eff Oct 1, 1999) - Suction Outlets and Return Inlets, pages 37 - 41; TDSPSPC 337.81 (Eff Jun 13, 1965). All suction outlets and return inlets shall be designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to comply with all applicable provisions of the City of Fort Worth Ordinances and the State Standard.
Each pool/spa does not have at least two properly installed return inlets. Two inlet nozzles are missing.
Corrective action: Each pool/spa shall have at least two return inlets which shall not present a hazard to users. Inlets shall not project more than one inch beyond the wall surface and, if installed on the bottom of pools/spas, shall be flush.
- Pool & Spa Operation and Maintenance
Texas Health & Safety Code - Minimum Standards of Sanitation & Health Protection, Chapter 341.064 and FW Ordinance #12156-Sec 16.459-462 (Sep 12, 1995). An owner, manager, operator or other attendant in charge shall maintain the pools, spas, bathhouses and the surroundings in a sanitary condition at all times.
The deck/deck surfaces of the pool, spa, their component parts or bathhouse and its surroundings are not maintained in good repair.
Corrective action: Maintain the deck/deck surfaces pool, spa, their component parts or bathhouse and its surroundings in good repair at all times.

The body hook or shepherd's crook is damaged, broken or is not properly attached or maintained.
Corrective action: The body hook or shepherd's crook shall be repaired or properly attached and maintained. At each Class C pool, one light, strong, non-telescoping, non-conducting 12 foot long or longer pole with attached body hook or shepherd's crook and one throwing rope that reaches at least 2/3 the maximum pool width with firmly attached 15 - 24 inch Coast Guard approved ring buoy shall be mounted in a conspicuous place within 20 feet of the pool. Both shall be provided for each 2,000 square feet of water surface and shall be accessible.

Corrective action: Backwash or drain water shall be discharged through an air gap at least two times the diameter of the discharge pipe located above the overflow level. A splash screen barrier can be used to prevent water splashing.
