They are available for everyone on the message boards, unless they are private messages. You can click on your name and chose Find all posts by macmeal to search your own posts and see if they got any replies.
Alternatively, while posting a new thread, scroll the page down a little and in the Thread Subscription section choose Notification Type to Instant email notification - this will send you an email every time there is a new post in your thread. You can also do this with the existing threads going Thread Tools > Subscribe to this thread.
