I tried to the attachment that I uploaded before. When I uploaded it, it appeared in my "manage attachments" window. Then, I closed the window, re-opened it when I was going to use it in a reply, and the attachent wasn't there. I can see it when I open the "attachments" button under "my settings" but cant figure out how to incept it into a post???

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If you already uploaded your attachment, just click on the paperclip ( just above your post window) and go from there.
You need to use "post reply" not "quick reply".

You can also display the image in its entirety by using the URL that is associated with that image.

Click on the selected attachment link and that will open up the image location. Copy and paste that URL and surround it by the image tags (or use the icon) and that will display the entire image in your post.

For an example, I have the following attachment uploaded in my City-Data Forum attachments:

1. the URL is this:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/attac...s-100_5124.jpg

2. If I surround it with the IMG tags, it will appear in my post like this:

Where do I find the IMG tags???

I looked where all the other buttons are { quote tags, spoinler tags etc. etc. } but dont see any image tag. I only see the "insert image" button.

Use the "insert image" button... it will create the IMG tags...

Make sure you have the proper URL for the image you are trying to post...

Ok, I think I have that part figured out now. I couldn't find th IMG tags but I opened it in another window and drug it over.

The second problem I'm having Is I can't get my attachments to stay there. They just dish appear.

The picture you want to attach: is stored in your HD, on the Internet ( Imagehosting)?

If it's an image that has been uploaded to your attachments here on C-DF, it will be stored on the C-DF server which is acting as the image host.

Therefore, it will be the same principle as if it were stored with another image host on the internet such as Photobucket, flkr, etc.

So again, just take the location (which is the URL that the host assigns to your image) and either manually apply the IMG tags or use the "insert image" icon that is located on the toolbar above the message post box to make the image show up in your post (as was shown in my previous post).

Hmmm... Maybe you explain us step for step what are you doing, so we can determine what are you doing wrong?
