Zimbabwe - because of the Victoria Falls.
Egypt - for its historical sites (pyramids, the Sphinx, etc.)
Madagascar - I met someone from there when I was a child and I like the idea of island nation. Also I vaguely remember watching a program showing that this island has some unique wildlife.
Seychelles - Another beautiful island.
Reunion Island - A French island east of Madagascar which seemed to be interesting when I saw it featured on a TV show.
Zimbabwe for the nature
South Africa for the cities, wine, national parks, climate, and post-colonial history
Ethiopia for the ancient and classical history
Senegal for the music
Tanzania/Zanzibar for the wildlife, scenery, and beaches
I've been to S. Africa so that's off the list but as for the rest (in random order):
Botswana -- Until very recently, it was arguably the most stable country politically on the continent and one of the most economically successful, if not the most economically successful. Would like to see it first hand. (Since it's right next door, I'd probably take a detour into Namibia while I was there.)
Rwanda -- While Kagame remains a polarizing and controversial figure, and for good reason if his critics are correct, how the country has transformed itself in the wake of the horrific genocide is pretty amazing. And, because, gorillas.
Ethiopia -- Unique culture/food.
Ghana -- The growing economic powerhouse of West Africa as well as all the history with the slave trade.
And, finally, the Cape Verde Islands -- Mostly for the music and an austere beauty, as can be heard and seen below.
1. Nigeria - cultural experience, history, due to my personal heritage
2. Mali - literary history, architecture
3. Ethiopia - history (especially religious), architecture
4. Mauritius - due to ethnic similarities to my country of descent
5. Morocco - coastal beauty, cuisine, religion
egypt - been there already, it's relatively close to my country and...the Pyramids of course
kenya - lions, speak english and...girls probably , also: know a guy who lives there
gabon - developed, should have nice beaches?
somalia - read somewhere this is where we all come from (the human kind) should see it then
south africa - because....elon musk and charlize theron? and throw a stone at oscar pistorius lol...
Ghana-due to its strong cultural contribution to Caribbean culture and heritage
Cabo Verde-because it seems so much like the Caribbean, especially the DR, and might provide clues as to how the Caribbean culture evolved
Mauritius-see above with the addition Indian elements
South Africa-its tremendous beauty and rich culture
Mozambique-seems exotic.
Wish I can add Nigeria but its so lawless, and corrupt.
