If East Africa is USA, and Nairobi is NYC, what is Kampala, Zanzibar, Dar, Mombasa and Addis?

I'd say Zanzibar would be Hawaii.
Kampala....like a mini-NYC? Maybe a Philadelphia or Chicago? Maybe smaller though comparitively.
Dar es Salaam....coastal vibe....but conservative...maybe Houston?
Mombasa....ahmm....maybe Miami meets Daytona Beach?
Addis Ababa...something completely different....mountains high elevation...maybe Denver?

What do you say?
