Just wondering how breakup is going around the state. My lake is slower this year than past years. It is still cold for SW Alaska, this morning it is 38, cloudy, rain and wind. This is my lake this morning.

The Tanana River is getting close - darker rotting ice is appearing in places. Lots of overflow, but the Nenana tripod is still holding steady. All you ticket holders stay tuned - could be today!

The Lowe River is running pretty good, and most of the creeks and small falls are coming back. I'll go out to the canyon sometime this week after work and see how the big falls out there are doing. Horsetail has been running for close to a month now, but a couple weeks ago Bridalveil was still frozen.
