Bob, the cost of the construction material doubles even on the highway in Healy. It is about 100 miles to Fairbanks. In addition, where are you going to put up the construction crew while they are building this monstrousity. I have a 16 man crew camp I can rent to you for about $10000 a month (after you get the move from Deadhorse to Healy paid for. You will need a caretaker for the other 5 months out of the year, and will have to pay the heating bill to prevent your pipes from freezing and bursting.

The Alpine Creek Lodge is 65 miles just off the Highway, on the Denali Highway.

Alpine Creek Lodge is a remote lodge in interior Alaska.

Super Shell Open 24 hours. Trucks, RV's area to fuel. Be good to develop and compete with the two gas stations in Healy.

I think that the business in winter is minimal, Bob. A lot of the gas stations on the highway close for the winter months.

The expense incurred in buying the land and building it would be quite high. To make matters worst, there aren't many customers around during the winter months to share with the other gas station. That's the reason why there are so little businesses along the road.

A lot of businesses along the Richardson Highway, for example, open only during the summer. It means that in the Fall before the snow falls, the business is closed, the generator is turned off, the water pipes are drained, and some of the windows and doors are boarded off.
