Just out of curiosity - how far is up north?
Here, up north can be anywhere from a 2-8 hour drive and still be in the same state, and I know AK is a whole lot larger.

Pics were about 6 hr north of me ended up about 8 hrs north of me.. put about 800 miles on the truck
all to hunt Caribou and unded up coming home with just Pic's
I shoudl have taken more pic's but at 8deg my camera batteries kept freezing...LOL
