Right. For all you know, the person is posting from an old laptop with no market value or from a library. And yes, there's plenty of free wifi available. Homeless people are isolated and marginalized enough , and as others have said, the internet is a very useful tool for people looking for jobs and places to live.

The homeless Shelter in Anchorage has 4 computers for the homeless people to use from 9 am - 3 pm. Seven Days a week. FYI
