Since I'm new to the book publishing world, Kindle has a program where I can promote the book for free by giving it away for free. Sounds odd, but for the next fives days if I did this right, in a few hours you can go to kindle and type in "Building in the Wild (of Alaska)" and download it free for five days.

This should be the link:

Building in the Wild of Alaska:Amazon:Kindle Store

The way I understand it the more people that get the book, it raises the books ratings and hopefully gets positive reviews as well. Everyone has been a big help with photos and such, many I haven't used in the first book but will use many in the next two of the series.

Let me know if the link or the "Free" part isn't working correctly!

Thanks

Just a note for some. I have a Nook, so kindle won't work on it (usually), but you can download free apps right from Amazon to read Kindles on your PC, Ipod etc. I just did it rather quickly and easily even for a tech phobic like me. So far am very impressed with your book Mark! I love that there are live links I can click on to take me to the videos and different sites too.

The link didn't work for me, but it came right up on the Amazon site and downloaded. I'm a photo-fan, so appreciated those. I clicked through it quickly to see how it loaded on my laptop, and look forward to the Kindle version. A couple questions about the upload and formatting: did you do your own cover? did you get an ISBN or did Amazon's assign one of their numbers? Did you upload in .doc or .rtf or something else? How was their process as far as the actual upload, and were you able to go in and edit before it actually published?
