Hmmmm Ed seemed to think it sounded like pile driving or the like, we're a ways off you Grannys but if you are getting them too then it must be the volcano

Time to head out and cover the cars i think

Oh my goodness, Jan we heard that same noise all morning and feel the vibrations too. I looked on the earthquake site and there were a few minor quakes around Talkeetna this morning but that wouldn't be causing the noise and Vibrations here. Plus it is often!!! I told the kids it sounded like construction equipment but not sure of any in the area...freaky!

I wondered about the noise myself; the house never really 'shook' but the windows rattled a bit.

somebody please get Guido off the mountain and any buddies to safety. Seriously hope you all stay safe should she blow. All you photo fanatics...please be safe when rushing to get the "great shot" of the volcano blowing. Secretly I hope you get fabulous shots....safely.

Now that I am attuned to it, I am hearing it quite a bit and having intermittent flashes of vertigo. Odd.
