I always get a kick out statements about high property taxes in AK. Everywhere we have looked they are about 1/2 of what they are here.

Hey...good job on finding a house that fast. I know some of your neighbors so don't go sighting in your guns that direction :-)

Satch you do know that you can't use dynamite for catching salmon, right?

Satch there is sales tax in the valley it's not much and it maxes out at $12.50 pretty much none but still there is. You will love it though, especially if you don't have to commute.

You can still get property in AK without any property taxes currently.

Thanks Marty. I kind of figured that you may know the neighbor right across the road. We looked at her house also for my in-laws. Both houses are gorgeous.

Don't worry, Martin did an outstanding job so real estate agents are off of my list.

Damn...does that mean I have to do it the old-fashioned way?

Oh, I knew that but it is so minuscule that I consider it be nonexistent (when compared with San Jose's 8.25%).

that is very true, I like how Alaska has a maximum tax, I had ask about that down in Nevada to see if they had a max tax they thought I was nuts.

We have property in Paradise California and the taxes are horrible.

Yeah, but the hard part isn't getting the bear drunk, its trying to avoid its amorous advances as it shovels the salmon ashore.
