That is crazy.

I think if I was up in Juneau I would be craving a Whopper!
Well you dont move to Juneau so that you can eat the same crap, live the same life you do in the lesser 48. You won't die if you don't eat that processed crap anyway.

Well you don't eat it everyday, I wasn't knocking it anyways, I am from a small town in Michigan, the nearest fast food is an hour away.

I am just saying having had BK and loving Whoppers I would really crave one up in Juneau.

Having said that, I would prefer the natural beauty of Alaska over fast food, but still get craving.

Years ago, Burger King was always a food stop on any trips south, especially since it's in the airport in Seattle. Taco Time, KFC and Wendy's were other stops. Nowadays, with more healthy eating, they're not as important. So the cravings do go away.

Default cook it yourself

You'd just have to get used to the fact that if you want a wafer-thin, over-cooked burger, you'll have to cook it yourself.

Actually, it's kind of nice to live in a place without all the big chain restaurants. It's ironic that now that we live hundreds of miles further away from the source of most organic fruits and veggies, we're eating healthier than ever.

Of course, a big part of that is the fact that the nearest drive-up burger joint is ninety miles away...by water!

Of course, Home-made burgers are a LOT better, but I would still get cravings for processed crap.

What about Bear meat? BEAR BURGERS..

Do you have stores up that that sell Bear/Venison and the like? I would love that.

We had a Burger King in Ketchikan. I think it lasted about 2 years before it closed.
