Tried out the new "C" restaurant in Wasilla yesterday and let me save you all the grief. It was absolutely terrible! I have eaten at this chain establishment in Arizona, California, Washington etc.. So I know their typical standards and it is usually good.

First we had to wait 40 minutes to get a table. Expected as it is new, fine. When we do sit down it takes the RUDE server 40 minutes to get our drinks. Another 20 to take our order (which I wish never came) I ordered the rib eye steak. I did not know they could cut rib eye that thin? It was like Carne asada, paper thin and over done. It was drenched in grease, literally almost floating. Full of fat. I never finished it. The vegetables were still cold and obviously some room temperature formely frozen vegies. Wife ordered the skillet and the precooked chicken was cold and soaked in grease too. We left before we finished half our meal, it was that bad. Simply put it was down right disgusting.

Server brought us our check and then never came back to take my credit card. Waited like 30 more minutes and had to wander around the place to find someone to take our bill. I seriously thought about walking off without paying. I'm an honest person, or i would have. I'll never got back, worst dining experience I've ever had in Alaska and there have been some real bad ones over the years. First time in over 20 years of eating out I have ever stiffed the server too. No tip! First time ever, it was that bad! I generally tip 20-30% too.

We were going to go last weekend - didn't realize at first that it was the 'grand opening' and the parking lot was double parked in areas! People were parking at the GrandView Hotel and walking over. How horrid for you that your experience was so bloody awful - the chain isn't usually half bad.
The Greek/Italian restaurant (I forget the name) in the plaza next to the Frontier Mall area is quite good!

Well in all fairness, maybe after the grand opening appeal wears off it will improve, but man that stunk last night. Rib eye steak 1/4" thick, floating in a 1/2" of grease. Yuck, lol.

I have been to both Anchorage, and Fairbanks C's....both settled down after the grand opening...I hope the same for Wasilla, but I think I would have done more than with hold the tip....the management needs to know if their servers aren't up to par.

WHAT is Alaska going to have to do to get an OLIVE GARDEN....that will be the day! I am going to use that in my campaign! An Olive Garden in every town!

We had the same sort of experience when Sticky Fingers opened down here. The service was beyond poor & the food was marginal. The manager gave us a $10 gift card & asked us to come back soon. One year later we went back. The service was better & the food was edible.

If I'd experienced what y'all had I'd never go back.

Blasphemy!!! The Olive Garden isn't real Italian food & the chairs have casters on their bottoms.
