Well....there ya go, problem solved "Rance's RV Park Sterling Alaska"

I'm gonna keep that in mind myself, unless I git banned from here and banished from Sterling too....lotta my posts recently have bin replaced with "off topic or rude".....image that

But...my rep points keep piling up

If you find a job, having that trailer up here might be a huge plus and save ya money....if not you can sell it up here easily

There are some places in my area free for camping with your setup...but most of the state campgrounds charge a fee. A few have dumps and very few have water weels to refill.
I'd offer too but I'll just be getting our land cleared off and the driveway put in....maybe we can meet up at some point, I'll be in Nikiski!!

Default Rance's offer is hard to beat.

then you can leave it for a few days and camp out with your truck on excursions around the state. You will have a base.

Plus you can always do what a lot of folks do- spend a few days in Freddie's parking lot!

Fishing access roads are another good camping spot by the rivers.

One of my favorite free campgrounds is East Fork Chulitna Wayside, 185 miles north of Anchorage on Parks Hwy on east side of hwy, has restrooms and trash.

Thank you very much, that's an awfully kind offer. I am a very prideful, independent person, and I wouldn't even consider this unless I could give you a hand with something in exchange- maybe help you build your deck or something. Nice to know there are still good people out there. Thanks again.

This is a possibility, as I always have a tent in the trailer, too.

I would guess, being NomadicBear that you know about bear safety while camping!

I know as much as not keeping food in the tent, or pitching camp on a bear trail. That's about it.

They really like garbage and I've heard they are even attracted to toothpaste but I'm not an outdoor expert.
