Could you please back this baseless assertion up with fact?

and I'd have a hard time finding a person who makes more baseless assertions than you, Starlite9. I could spend hours on end poking holes in things you say, but it's not worth my time.

Well, if we keep putting each other on "ignore" here, we'll soon all be yapping to ourselves.

Met, sorry for taking so long to answer your question about Oklahoma unemployment....I've been at an archery tournament all evening. The recession has hit Oklahoma mildy compared to some states, but it has definitely hit. Now I am not 100% on this state, but last I heard it was over 10% by a little bit. Jobs here are tough to come by that pay well.....but then again people have come to expect the "quality" of life they lived in times of prosperity. Iphones, internet, HBO, and brand new trucks are not necessary to live. Alot of folks here are having a hard time coming to grips that they are going to be forced to work for 10-12$ an hour. We all think we have to have all these things that we don't, so many are looking ONLY for jobs that can support their lavishs lifestyles. When I first broke out on my own, I was surviving ( and quite happy and thought I was wealthy ) off of 650$ every two weeks. Of course I drove a 1995 Chevy that was paid for, had the smallest plan dish net offered, a trac cell phone, electric, and that was my bills. Since I've gotten my inspecting job and began to get paid the big bucks, I've acquired some rather large bills....BUT if I lose my job I have no worries about working for 10-12$ an hour, as I know I can do it and survive.

Entitlement attitude problems, and actually being unable to find a job are two different things. Thats just my opinion of course.

Thanks, starlite9, though I see you're posting under a different moniker. Unfortunately, you didn't prove anything. All you've done is highlight the fact that there are crazies who would love to kill Bush. I never questioned this. What I did question, is the assertion that only left wing kooks call for the assassination of presidents. Care to offer up proof of that?

Moose....the best thing that Herr Bush did while in office was to stay alive.

Think of what the alternative would have been if he were assassinated.

That's why no one shot him. He didn't need the SS; he had the possibility of Cheney as possible POTUS protecting his ass.

Maybe that's the real reason the McCain camp chose Palin, to ensure his safety from possible assassins.

No. Starlite and Moose are two different people. Let's not fall into conspiracy theories here.

What this thread is about you changed with this post, things turn, and I doubt 98% of the black American vote got him in....when did that many black Americans vote....and your colors are coming out in your posts...will you fit in...figure it out, I doubt you will hide behind your badge, with your attitude long in AK...you can't handle a fast food confrontation.. goal...not to be biased....

Percentage-wise, more Black Americans registered to vote in the last election than any other in history. How they actually voted is a private matter and something we have no real way of knowing. By the same token, voter registration was up significantly among Caucasians. I think it's plausible that those who voted with primarily racially based motives rather canceled each other out.

I find it somewhat troubling here that some posters have lumped Black Americans in with welfare recipients. Most welfare recipients are white females with an average of two children.
