All it takes is getting a PO'd border agent who want to make an example of the next vehicle coming up. I haven't seen it happen, just read about it here and I think I read on the Canadian customs site that the border agent has the final say on who gets across. Chances are 99 out of 100 times you'll have no problems, but it's that one time that will ruin your day.
