So, was anyone in Valdez for Tailgate Alaska? For those who weren't its a couple weeks of tailgating in Thompson pass, with a snowboard competition that had Olympic riders competing to crown the best snowboarder. It was a blast! They are coming back next year to do the same thing. Did anyone come down for it?
Or did anyone even know about it?

If you snowboard or snowmachine you should check this out. Friends of mine were making up to 20 dollars a run to bring people up the Mt. on there snowmachines. i rode for free
it was great fun till we dropped headfirst into a 12 ft deep riverbed! I can finally lift my head off my pillow without my neck hurting, and its been 2 weeks since i did it!

LOL, I was supposed to be out there this week, but I hear many of the flights have been cancelled over the last couple days.

Really? I saw the plane land late on Monday night, and left here on time lastnight. It has been snowing again lately, but from what I've seen they have still been flying, although late at times. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the morning flights got canceled though, it's been pretty nasty in the mornings the past few days.

That's good to hear. That would have been my flight back to ANC. But I've been stuck out there too many times so I just didn't want the hassle this time. Hopefully next week will be better.

it was great fun till we dropped headfirst into a 12 ft deep riverbed! I can finally lift my head off my pillow without my neck hurting, and its been 2 weeks since i did it!
