Thanks Warpt.....must be watching this on TV I guess.....I hope they have a recap somewhere tonight

That Hayward has said some stupid things w/o thinking....placing his life at risk in the US

I'd say his days are numbered as CEO.....

I bet the shareholders in England want his head for giving up 20-billion of their money....so he won't wanna go back there either

As of today....their stock value has dropped $88-BILLION

Good BP investment article in the New York Times...

Moving the locals out... How about evacuating Florida? Where are all these people supposed to go? Better to leave them in place...

Rep. Joe Barton, a Texas Republican, apologized to Hayward for what he described as a "shakedown" at the White House yesterday.

"I'm ashamed of what happened in the White House yesterday," Barton said. "I think it is a tragedy of the first proportion that a private corporation can be subjected to what I would characterize as a shakedown, in this case, a $20 billion shakedown."

I have no doubt there are a plenty of people in the Gulf area that would love to get this POS alone for a few minutes.

Hayward should be arrested. He continues to lie his face off, and evade almost every question Congress asks him. He and his company are defiant, and do not respect the will of the people or the rule of law. Our lawmakers need to get some stones and do something about this prick immediately.

Why would they do anything about it though? All the republicans are in congress due to the oil companies.

I recently heard someone say why doesn't Sarah Palien say her favorite mantra anymore? They suggested if any one was to say it today they'd have to make a minor change to the words.

DRILL BABY DRILL

SPILL BABY SPILL

KILL BABY KILL

and she is now smart enough to understand it wont fly to just stop with the first verse.

Rep. Joe Barton, a Texas Republican....your typical brain-dead mentally retarded REPUBLICAN....thinking the big oil company BP shouldn't have to pay anything....republican business as usual

I'm sure, being a republican he's much rather see it dragged out over 20 years screwing over all those affected like the Exxon Valdez fiasco and then have a right-wing nut Supreme Court give big oil a free pass

We need to see what oil company owns his seat in our Congress and pays his personal expenses..

This ole dirtbag fool outta be bled out in a ditch somewhere..

(Good one Grammy...)

The old fool even looks stupid....what kinda losers would put a guy like this in Congress

Now, someone is reporting on CNN that BP owns 20% of the stock in the company which makes the chemical.
I believe the chemical is an old Exxon Chemical product called Corexit. Exxon Chemical joined with Nalco Chemical and I believe the company is just called Nalco Chemical. BP is a customer of Nalco but does not own stock that I know of.

That dispersant was not meant for that type of mass application.
