People Winrock is not an option. The city doesn't own winrock, and there are already other plans for it. Besides, to demo the massive building would only cost the tax payers more.

one thing i find interesting is the study of the "Duke City Motor Speedway" which is supposed to be a Nascar track of 80,000 seats. Its still in the study mode but i think its something that would be nice for the ABQ metro.

I never heard of that but it sounds interesting, and someone mentioned that Backstreet Boys would not come to town BUT New Kids on the Block are gonna be at Tingley in Oct. Im surprised there comming to Abq.
Maybe my memory is fuzzy... but back when the Backstreet Boys were popular, a local DJ announced that they would be coming to ABQ and would be playing @ the Media Dome (at least I think that was the name). Anyhow... all the ABQ tween/teen girls rioted and were asking everybody and their dog where to find tickets and how to get to the Media Dome. Long story short... the DJ was fired and hearts were broken across the 505. Does this sound familiar to anybody?
