I seen Tim Mcgraw at the Journal last month, it looked like a good crowd, not sure of the final attendance though.

Albuquerque does get a fair share of major concerts compared to El Paso. However thats like comparing apples to oranges, Albuquerque has a plethora of good locations to host concerts where El Paso just has a few. It would be easier to compare Albuquerque to Phoenix or Denver!

We are still not getting major shows like Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, etc. even with the Journal Pavilion, a nice outdoor venue that seats about 14,000.

Will a new arena downtown with 12,000 seats in front of an artist change that? I think so, I HOPE so!!!!!

Nice post Observe and agree or disagree at least your fair in your thoughts about El Paso. Yeap be nice if EP had all the pueblo reservations with their outdoor amphitheaters as before Sandia, Isleta and Santa Ana resorts in 1995 when i moved here there was about the same as down south.

Saw the letter to the editor in the Abq Journal yesterday re the downtown arena. VERY good!

Not sure it will help. I'd love to see a beautiful, shiny new 20,000 seat venue downtown. It will be a miracle if a 12,000 seat arena is built.

The best thing to do is to go to the next city council meeting and show are support for a much larger arena for a city of already 526,899 citizens
