As long as we're talking holistic vets, why not holistic humans! What grocery stores are in the RR area? Are there whole food markets where I can buy organics?

Whole Food Stores (Albuquerque), Trader Joe's (Albuquerque), Sunshine Markets right around Cottonwood Mall, which I think is a blend of Rio and Albuquerque, but technically Alb. Sunshine Market rocks! It has great prices and the produce is out of this world. We found coming from dairy land that dairy and some other things were more expensive, but produce is cheaper and fresher. I go to Sunshine for produce and Walmart to stock up on other stuff. Trader Joe's was in Illinois and I absolutely loved it. I haven't been since I moved here, but they're a good place to go. There's lots of farmers' markets and those are usually good for picking up produce. New Mexico has a lot of wonderful things to offer.

We use Sunflower market quite often. It's at Alameda and Corralles bvld. Not quite in RR. Hopefully RR will get a nice wild oats, trader joes type of store in the future.

Awesome! I've copied all the info and tucked it away in my RR word doc! Thanks! I love my organics and fresh produce! What farmer's markets do you recommend and where are they? Are there websites about them?

Let's see if this link works. I haven't checked out the farmer's markets, but was looking into it today. Kind of funny how life works.

Default on the other side of the river

On the other side of the river there's the La Manzanita Co-op, it's in the Nob Hill area right on Central. There's also a couple of Wild Oats on the E. side, one at Carlisle and Indian School, the other way up in the heights off Juan Tabo and Menaul. Trader Joes is way, way up there in the heights too.
