You see all kinds of hats in Albuquerque; Flat caps, fedoras, porkpies, boonies, and the ubiquitous baseball cap, of course. I have even seen a guy in a pith helmet :-) With the intensity of the sun here, they are virtually a neccesity. Especially if you are hair-impaired.
To stay on topic, I see more people in flat caps (the type of hat people in Britain wear) than Cowboy hats.
Albuquerque also has a few local hat shops such as Larry's Hats in Nob Hill. Something you don't see much of anymore.
Just for the record, my hubby wears baseball caps and boonies.
Just remember not to go out in the NM sun without a hat and sunscreen (I need to keep reminding myself about the sunscreen part. )
you are so right, I wear a ballcap everytime I go out, but the other day I was at the pool and forgot my sunscreen and got the burn of a lifetime,Im not kiddin' I could feel my skin frying.
Yup, for us white boys, you need sunscreen to not be a tomato. But for those with a darker skin complextion, you need to wear it just to avoid melonoma.
And it's a little bit Rock 'n Roll! Sorry, the title of your thread gave me a Donnie and Marie Show flashback.
