Question Pollen count in ABQ!!!

I'm thinking of moving to ABQ because of the beautiful weather. I currently live in Baltimore and I'm sick of being sick with allergies, colds and other yucky stuff. Can anybody tell me about living in the desert and how it affects those with severe allergies? Thanks for the help!

To what are you allergic? Mold? Juniper? It depends... did you do a search?

We have been getting hit by they Juniper/Cedar pretty hard for the last month or two, but I wasn't affected by this in Colorado, or Ohio.

Depends on what pollen you're allergic to. Elm pollen is very high here, and so is cedar/juniper. We get a good dose of weed pollen in the fall, too. Grass isn't so bad, and I have yet to see mold in the daily counts.

Yep, totally depends on what you're allergic to. I had allergies that used to put me in the emergency room when I was a teen. I did a battery of exposure shots for a year, and that improved my symptoms to the point where I didn't even take over the counter until last years Juniper/Cedar attack. That was an over 20 year run. I started shots last year and am finishing up 'maintenance'. The recent spike in Juniper/Cedar has caused me some congestion, but nothing else. A marked improvement from last year.

I like how they started the readings, then stopped for about 3 weeks while they upgraded/updated/changed the email format. Too bad they didn't send out an email telling everyone was was up....

Default Chenopodiaceae???

Anyone know what specifically "lives in Albuquerque" in this family of plants: Chenopodiaceae? I would have no idea how to pronounce that word, nor do I know what plant species it refers to - native or invasive?
